Disney’s Hollywood Studios celebrates thirty years today. The park has gone through plenty of changes. The park’s opening day attraction The Great Movie Ride was shuttered to make way for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. The park also went through a long Sorcerer’s Hat phase before it was torn down. Much of the park’s future remains uncertain even going back to the name Hollywood Studios itself. The park was rumored for a name change for years before Disney altogether abandoned the effort. Now attractions like Rock N’ Rollercoaster featuring Aerosmith, Star Tours, and Jim Henson’s last ever project Muppet Vision 3D all have uncertain futures.
The one thing Disney did confirm today was that the park would receive an updated logo. The logo showcases the new era and direction for the park. With a focus on key franchises and a smaller font for “Studios.”

The logo will be featured in the Animation Courtyard arch, and it represents Hollywood Studios new future. Here is the older logo just for comparison.

The future of Hollywood Studios will be interesting, and the new logo just shows that the future of the park will be based on adventure and the interchangeability of franchises.
