Starting November 9th we will see the Hollywood Tower Hotel transform into the Hollywood Toy Hotel via projection mapping. This is part of the Sunset Season Greetings at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The concept art is related to a new projection show that will be happening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This is just one of the many scenes that makes up the show. As you can see the projection shows the tower created entirely out of toys. The new projection will tie into a Toy Story scene for the new projections show.
So if you guessed a Toy Story themed Tower of Terror overlay you are sorta correct. When I first saw the concept art I legit thought it was an overlay being built. I was glad to find out that it was only a projection. My Twitter timeline doesn’t need two coasts complaining about their Tower of Terror’s.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is light on attractions so adding a new projection mapping show should spark some interest at the park during this holiday season.
