Well, today Disney revealed some new information regarding their future Spider-Man attraction that will be in both Disneyland and Disneyland Paris. Here on Boardwalk Times, we have discussed the patents behind the Spider-Man attraction.
Here is the official synopsis below:
The Avengers are setting up new Headquarters and training facilities around the globe to inspire all potential recruits willing to step up and become something more. As part of this global initiative, Tony Stark has founded the Worldwide Engineering Brigade — or WEB for short — to develop advancements in super-powered technology, including new enhancements to Spider-Man’s suit as their debut project. By bringing together the world’s brightest young inventors, the WEB is creating new interfaces that will empower all of us to join the ranks of Earth’s Mightiest.
Although the details are very cryptic. It’s going to be an interactive attraction and you will most likely get the simulated feeling of being Spider-Man. The Disney Parks Blog even revealed the suit that Spider-Man will be rocking at Disney’s California Adventure and Walt Disney Studios Park. The one thing for sure is that guests will get to feel like superheroes because of WEB.

Ryan Meinerding, Head of Visual Development at Marvel Studios, created the new suit design for the parks. According to Ryan, “It has been the highlight of my career to design all of Spider-Man’s suits for the most recent films. Bringing him to life through Tony Stark’s capable design aesthetic was a true joy, but working with the Walt Disney Imagineering team to develop a look for Spidey that reflects the innovation of a team of young geniuses really brings him to a new level. And knowing that park guests can get up close to that suit and really take in all the detail the astounding Imagineers packed into it means that we have truly brought a new version of the character to life.”
We will most likely find out more about the Avengers recruitment at D23 Expo 2019. For now, we will have to wait for more snippets to be released from the Disney Parks Blog. The WEB storyline explains the red building in the concept art for the new Marvel land.
Also, I hope Disney eventually addresses to their fans that the MCU actually won’t exist within the parks but it will be the MTPU. The Marvel Theme Park Universe, which is a universe very similar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For Disney’s Marvel plans they intend to keep the same MCU actors in the roles. So, it is safe to assume that Tom Holland will voice our Spider-Man in this attraction giving it an authentic edge.
Boardwalk Times will give more details on the Spider-Man attraction as more information emerges.
