Disney Employees Can Begin Phased Return to Offices Starting July 5

Last year the world shut down and in-person meetings were replaced by Zoom calls. Now after a whole year, it looks like The Walt Disney Company is plotting to get back to a somewhat normal starting on July 5 with a return to the office.

The Walt Disney Company

Deadline first reported that they heard on good authority that Disney’s U.S. employees would begin returning to their offices on July 5. It’s a sign with COVID-19 vaccinations rising and case numbers falling that Disney and other businesses are getting back to normal.

Disney’s employees will have a phased return to the office. No more details were provided on how the phases would work and what changes may occur in the workplace in a post-COVID-19 world.

The July 4–5 timeline aligns with President Biden’s timeline on when things should get back to normal. So, it makes sense why Disney is already giving its employees the heads up that they only have a few more months of Zoom calls left.

Disney sent their employees an internal video announcing the return to the offices.

It’s a great sign that shows Disney is ready to get its workforce back to a somewhat normal. Although it will be interesting to see if Disney is still exploring moving some of its business operations to Florida. That is a story that is still developing and it will be fascinating to see if that development has any effect on Disney’s return to office operations in the United States.

More to come…
