We got a ton of great questions for this mailbag. If you want your questions featured in the next mailbag (Q3) tweet at me (@TripleZ_87) or @BoardwalkTimes your question. You can also email us at boardwalktimes@yahoo.com.

How low do they let the stock fall before Chapek's job is on the line?

It depends on the market. If the stock continues to tank but the market overall continues to tank. That won’t be reflective of Chapek. It would just be reflective of our current market.

At this rate, Chapek’s job isn’t solely contingent on the stock price. I think all signs are pointing towards an early exit in 2023 unless he can rack up some wins here. Would getting the stock to soar be a massive win? Yes, it certainly would be.

Do we think Chapek’s status as Disney CEO hinges on how high Disney+ can grow to get their stock rising back up?

The stock is just one of many aspects to grade Chapek on. I think the more daunting task he has right now is changing the narrative on Disney’s public perception (the Disney Parks becoming more and more expensive, culture war controversies, etc.).

I do think Disney+’s growth would be an important win for him, and it would boost the stock. Yet, Wall Street seems to be falling out of love with streaming so maybe Disney’s multiple revenue streams could impress the street? Remember the famous saying nobody knows anything.

With Netflix fading and CNN+ failing — what’s your view of the streaming space now? Concerned?

A loaded question that I could probably write about for several paragraphs but this is a mailbag after all so I will try to make this quick.

For Disney, I never thought streaming would become its main revenue driver. I never thought that was realistic and the math never made sense for that. But I do think streaming will be a solid additional revenue stream.
