Walt Disney Imagineering is hard at work developing the Avengers Multiverse attraction at Disney California Adventure Park. The new multiverse attraction will become the centerpiece of Avengers Campus and will feature a wide range of characters.

At Destination D23, Disney shared a look at the new multiverse-hopping vehicles. Brent Strong, executive creative director at Walt Disney Imagineering, revealed that the vehicle is a mix of Tony Stark’s time-suits with Xandarian jump points and Wakandan technology.

Fans are already speculating on what type of ride system the Avengers Multiverse attraction may use. I’ve seen everything from Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance to Universal’s The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. The inclusion of Xandarian jump points could also point to this attraction having some similarities to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Another rumor points to Imagineering using the same ride system as Tokyo DisneySea’s upcoming attraction Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure. The upcoming attraction will allegedly have ground and flying sequences.

Whatever ride system it ends up being, hopefully, it suits the Avengers. With this being a Multiverse attraction the ride system will have to be pretty innovative. Walt Disney Imagineering also revealed that the Avengers Multiverse attraction will “blend large-scale environments and immersive media” that will give guests the feeling they are jumping through new universes and realities.

The Avengers Multiverse attraction is in active development. Disney should be revealing more details on the highly-anticipated attraction in the near future.
